Take Control in 2010: Grab a FREE copy of Source Control!

Because it’s a fresh new year, and free is a beautiful word…

To celebrate the close of a year and welcoming of a new, let’s all toast to designing lifestyles worth living. As a thank you for the tremendous support of what we’re doing on Muselife, and to share some of what I’ve learned along the way, go grab a free copy of my book, Source Control. You can read up on it at theĀ book website, but this is the only way to get a copy free. This ends on or around midnight Saturday Jan 2, 2010 so check the end of this post and grab yours while it’s free.

Need inspiration? Check out Tim Ferriss’ Cold Remedy Contest

Check out theĀ 15 video entries over at the 4-Hour Workweek blog’s Cold Remedy contest. They’ll all help light a blazing fire under your ass going into 2010. I’m one of the finalists, and though I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t love to win this thing and have more fuel to jet around filming for Muselife – go with your gut and enjoy the killer stories from each person.

Give me a free copy of Source Control…

Update: Thanks to everyone that grabbed theirs. I was absolutely floored with the number of people that got a copy, and hope it’s a massive resource for you in 2010. Still want a copy? Go to the book site to check it out…

Hi David, I'm outsourcing website design on Elance and one of the proposals quotes your audiomixology.net site as one he has built. I'm not sure I believe him. The company is called EmperialTech, based in Birmingham, UK. Is it true or false?
    Thanks.

Thank you! Great book and extremely valuable resource. Quick question: Did you edit the book yourselves or outsource? If you did it yourself, what did you use? If you outsourced, who?
    Thanks again.
  • Seth Hosko
Actually, it was more or less a crowdsourced effort. We had a few key people working on editing as it was in progress.

    David,

I was just about to hire a freelance VA from Canada to run some of my less complicated programming tasks. I can't believe how helpful your ebook was!

I read it in a night and completely changed the way I'm approaching this. One of the better things you mentioned was automating before outsourcing. Last weekend I wrote a 10-page manual that describes a 15 minute operation that I need repeated 5-6 times a week. Instead, I was able to find a discreet scripting language that can actually operate many of my programs automatically! This way, my VA no longer has to learn all the contingencies in my work; she just needs to press "Step 1", "Step 2", etc until completion!

I also ordered Work The System and the E-Myth Revisited on your recommendation. I'll let you know how those go!

    Thanks a ton!

  • Regularly I'm a non-poster. But for this I had to say thank you for the free copy.

Just got turned onto the site through Tim's site and I'm liking your content.

Just came by tonight and saw the contest for your book.. Hoping I'm not too late. Sounds like a good read.

  • Amazing work. I instantly connected to this.
  • Cole
Wow, great! Thanks a million man! I'm not quite at the stage where I can utilise it yet and I'm a bit swamped with all the other brilliant content you've put me onto, but I'll certainly report back on how effective implementation was when I get the chance. Thanks again and happy new year.
  • Thanks a lot for the free eBook, looks like there's some amazing info in there! Good luck on the contest, love how you started it 15 minutes before the deadline. I started my entry the same day. Great blog by the way!
  • David
Thanks David! I'm going to read it right now..
  • Glorious. I love you guys. Will email you, David, when I finish reading.

Hope your New Year's was awesome!
  • Aw. I just bought the book 2 days ago. Oh well, read it already and well worth the money. Great job. Fun, easy read, great resources. Thanks.
